Governor House : 111 Years old Padma Shri Saalumarada Thimmakka from Ramanagara/ Ramgarh (Sholay Movie Shooting Location) Karnataka, India has been honoured by World Book of Records - London for her outstanding contribution in the field of environment conservation and afforestation. She has planted Millions of plants in 80 years and due to her dedication, untiring and unselfish efforts her saplings have started to bear fruits. Hon'ble Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot (Governor of Karnataka) has bestowed the Certificate of Honour to Saalumarada Thimmakka. On this occasion Dr. Suchita Shukla (Chief Editor, WBR), Ms. Shikha Sharma (President, WBR - Karnataka), Mr. Umesh B.N. (Indian Young Environmentalists, Ramnagar), Dr. Aneesh Vidyashankar (India's Walking Violinist, Bangalore) were present.
