Bappi Lahiri gets included by World Book of Records - London

Mumbai: One of the mesmeric personalities and Bollywood Leading Singer as well as Music Director Shri Bappi Lahiri jee of India has been included in world records for Immortal Song "Jimmi - Jimmi" across the world and Originator of the Disco Beat in Indian Cinema by World Book of Records, London.
 
Shri Bappi Lahiri has been bestowed with the certificate of World record by Shri Santosh Shukla, Supreme Court Advocate on behalf of Shri Virendra Sharma (Member of British Parliament) and Dr. Diwakar Sukul (Chairman of World Book of Record, London). On this occasion Ms. Chitrani Lahiri, Shri Bappa Lahiri, Dr. Suchita Shukla (Director, Alma Asia), Ms. Ashima Sharma, Ms. Deepali Shukla, Shri Rajeev Dhamija, Shri Ajay Shukla, Ms.Piu Banerjee, Ms. Sakshi Holker and other prominent personalities were present.
 
Significantly, Shri Bappi Lahiri has been an exponential spirit who popularized the use of synthesized disco music in Indian cinema with an Indian flavor. He has been the first music director to get the China Award in Beijing, China for the film Disco Dancer in 1982 with the song "Jimmy Jimmy" was a success in the early 1980s and is said to have achieved some fame in other countries such as Russia.
